At The Ortiz Law Firm, we maintain the philosophy that each client’s case is the most important case, and that each client is entitled to our very best work.
Why Ortiz Law Firm?
Before entrusting Mr. Ortiz with their case, many of our clients first asked themselves the paramount question, “Why The Ortiz Law Firm?” The answer is simple: After more than a decade of representing clients in Long Term Disability and ERISA claims, Mr. Ortiz continues to set a standard of excellence for disability advocacy nationwide.
No Recovery, No Fee!
If your long term disability (LTD) insurance company has denied or terminated your LTD claim, hiring a lawyer may be your only option to obtain the benefits you deserve. Attorney Nick A. Ortiz is the founder of the Ortiz Law Firm and has a decade of experience in representing disability claims to obtain disability benefits. Our law firm focuses almost exclusively on recovering disability insurance benefits for our clients, particularly long term disability insurance benefits. We handle both group LTD claims governed by ERISA and individual disability insurance claims.
Has Your LTD Claim Been Unfairly Denied or Cut-off?
Attorney Nick A. Ortiz has extensive experience in handling disability and in-depth legal knowledge of state law and ERISA regulations. Mr. Ortiz offers zealous representation and will work to vigorously pursue your benefits.
We work on a contingency fee basis in almost every claim we handle, which means you do not have to pay us a penny in attorney’s fees unless and until we recover benefits for you under your claim!
Not A Florida Resident? Ortiz Law Firm Handles LTD Insurance Claims Nationwide
Nick Ortiz can represent individuals pretty much anywhere in the United States, in fact, the world. The reasons why he can represent people anywhere in the state are:
- He admitted to every bar in the state of Florida; and
- Most long term disability cases, not all but most, are governed by a federal regulation called ERISA. Under ERISA, you do not have the right to a jury trial, and in most cases, you do not have the right to engage in extensive discovery.
What that means is at the end of the day, most of the work is paper-driven, a lot of brief writing, a lot of correspondence by mail. There are very few court appearances required, and as a result, Nick Ortiz and the Ortiz Law Firm can handle a federal court case pretty much anywhere in the state.
In terms of communicating with you, we use an electronic signature service for a lot of the correspondence, and then we e-mail and fax and communicate by phone.
For those of you in California, I also have a bar license in the state of California, so I can represent claimants at any bar in the state of California.
For those of you in Texas, I also have a bar license in the state of Texas, so I can represent claimants at any bar in the state of Texas.
For those of you who are outside of Florida and California, I also handle those cases as well. In fact, in the past two years I’ve represented individuals from Alabama, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, Arizona, and several other states.
What we do is we take each case on a case-by-case basis. Nick Ortiz can either be admitted to your local federal court by what we would call a pro hac vice admission, or he can file a lawsuit here in the state of Florida.
The long and short of it is you should not allow our geographic location to limit your contacting us to see what we can do to help you. If you’re in the state of Florida, California, Texas, or even if you’re outside the state, you should still us a call at (888) 321-8131, as we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your legal rights with you. We look forward to hearing from you.
We Get LTD Insurance Claims Paid
If your LTD claim has been denied or terminated, Mr. Ortiz is willing to review your documents and discuss your claim at no charge.
Note: this opportunity does not apply if you are already represented by an attorney and does not apply to initial applications for benefits. It only applies if you have received a denial letter from the insurance company.
Once hired as your attorney, Mr. Ortiz will work hard to recover the insurance benefits you are entitled to receive.
Clients continue to retain the Ortiz Law Firm in disability claims for the following reasons:
- We work on a contingency fee basis.
- We have successfully handled thousands of disability cases.
- We were honored with 10/10 “Superb” rating by Avvo in 2014 and 2015.
- We offer each prospective client a free, no-obligation case evaluation.
- We have been handling disability claims for 10 years.
- We have testimonials from clients who have been extremely happy with the results we achieved for them.
Our clients consistently site our compassion and knowledge as reasons for positive reviews.
We understand that you have many questions and concerns about your future after your claim has been unfairly denied or terminated. To help you obtain the peace of mind you deserve, Mr. Ortiz will endeavor to address each of your concerns and answer each of your questions throughout the pendency of your claim. In addition, we will help you understand the state and/or laws that apply to your case so you can confidently make each decision an informed one.
Mr. Ortiz holds himself to a very high standard of legal representation. Mr. Ortiz understands the serious, sensitive, and complex nature of your disability insurance claim and is prepared to go to work for a favorable outcome.
Many LTD claims are time-sensitive. If you fail to act within the time permitted by law or within the time limits set out in your benefit plan or insurance policy, you may lose all of your rights. In most instances, you must appeal a denial within 180 days. Thus, you should not wait to take action or you may lose all of your legal rights forever.
Do not fight the massive (and well-funded) insurance or navigate through the legal complexities that lie ahead without professional legal representation!
The Ortiz Law Firm knows how to get your insurance claim paid. If you are disabled and unable to work due to a disability, we may be able to help. If you’d like to contact us for a free case evaluation about a legal matter, please complete the form to the right and we will be in touch shortly.
